A couple notable Winnipeg shows

If you're into Norwegian metal than be sure to check out The Invaluable Darkness Tour at the Burton Cummings Theatre on May 5th. The headliners are Dimmu Borgir, a metal act from Norway, and they'll be playing with Unearth, Devil Driver, and Kataklysm. Just visiting their websites scared me, so I'll likely not be attending this... j/k

Also, Winnipeg's The Wyrd Sisters - who graced the headlines a lot last year because of their vendetta against Warner Brothers for having characters named "The Weird Sisters" appear in Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire - are at the Garrick on March 29th. Frankly, I didn't think they had much of a case so it was no surprise they lost their lawsuit. Tickets are $20 and available at McNally Robinson, Prairie Sky Books, and Rainbow Resource Centre.

Current rotation: Imitation Electric Piano / Stereolab
