In The Future...Japandroids @ The Pyramid; Neil Young Second Date Rumours; Return Of The Sea and Cake; And Lots, Lots More!

First up, those fiery, melodic garage rockers from West Coast BC known as Japandroids return to Peg City for a date at the Pyramid on October 3rd. PS I Love You is supporting.
Broken Social Scene has signed up Chicago-based art-rock luminaries The Sea and Cake as their crowd warmers for part of their fall tour, which includes BSS’s October 6th concert at the Burt.
According to Pollstar, Hometown hero Neil Young has added as second date: he’ll be at the Centennial Concert Hall on July 27th as well. No corroborating evidence just yet, so consider this hearsay for now.
Ascending Montreal rockers The City Street visit the Cavern on June 25th.
Winnipeg’s Cyclist brings his visceral blend of electro/disco/house to the Lo Pub on June 17th as part of Goodform w/ Mike B and DJ Rob Vilar. Check out Cyclist’s new single “Prime Cut” here.
Whilst on the subject of local talent, Winnipeg’s favourite funk makers Moses Mayes play a free show at Old Market Square on July 4th @ 10:30 p.m.
Lebeato perform at Old Market Square for free, as well, on June 19th @ 4 p.m.; they also open for the Slew, July 1st at the Pyramid.
Montreal indie acts Valleys and Jane Vain drop by the Lo Pub on June 23rd.
Lord Beginner is also part of June 28th’s bill at the Albert featuring Sleepy Sun and Black Mountain.
Vieux Farka Toure pays a return visit to Winnipeg on August 4th @ The WECC.
Ukrainian folk rock band Haydamaky stop in at the WECC on July 28th.
