Blink 182, Rancid, and Against Me are at the MTS Centre on August 25th.

Sam Roberts returns to town on Tuesday, November 1st for a date at the Centennial Concert Hall.

And finally, Nova Scotian singer-songwriter export Carmen Townsend is at the Park Theatre on June 20th.

In Winnipeg Music News...Pearl Jam @ MTS Centre

90s Grunge demi-gods Pearl Jam are celebrating the 20th anniversary of Ten with a Canadian tour, a ten-city trek that sees Eddie Vedder & the boys rock the MTS Centre on Saturday, September 17th. Tickets are reasonably priced (relatively) at 69.50 for all sections ($81.50 inc. fees & taxes) and are slated to go on sale next Friday, the 27th of May.

And according to the official press release, $2 from every ticket "will be donated to Vitalogy Foundation, which grants funds to non-profit organizations chosen personally by the members of Pearl Jam."

In Winnipeg Music News...An Horse @ Park Theatre; Miri @ The Albert

Brisbane indie exports An Horse return to Winnipeg for a date at the Park Theatre on June 27th w/ Enjoy Your Pumas. The duo are touring in support of their sophomore release, Walls, which dropped on April 26th.

Icelandic alt-rockers Miri make their debut at the Albert in two days (May 13th) as part of this year's Nuna Festival.

And finally, Southern arena rockers Kings of Leon play the MTS Centre on October 4th. Band of Horses to open? Stay tuned.

In Winnipeg Music News...Mother Mother @ The Garrick; Imaginary Cities Open For Pixies...

First up, surging indie-rockers Mother Mother are returning to Winnipeg for a date at the Garrick on April 6th. The Vancouver-based quintet are touring in support of their third full-length recording, Eureka, scheduled for release on the Ides of March.

Risky move by Rihanna. The pop diva has signed up Cee-Lo Green as her opening act during her expansive North American tour this spring/summer. Will Green's show-starting set outshine her headlining performance? Find out June 20th at the MTS Centre.

After selling out and bringing down those visually obstructive load-bearing posts the house at the Lo Pub this past Friday, local soul/pop pairing Imaginary Cities’ stock continues to rise high: Pixies have handpicked them to be their opening act for 10 Canadian tour dates.  Sadly, Imaginary Cities will not be part of the two Winnipeg dates.

Austin-via-Winnipeg roots pair Twilight Hotel (Brandy Zdan & Dave Quanbury) have a new record out in the New Year, When The Wolves Go Blind (street date: January 18th); catch them perform tracks off it, February 4th at the West End Cultural Centre.

The Perms are at the Cavern in a few days (November 26th) w/ Alarm at the Biltmore and the Hoots.

The Jon Cohen Experimental (led by the titular frontman himself, formerly of the Dears, The Social Register) is there on January 14th.

Christian Hansen & The Autistics are at the Park Theatre on November 26th then drop by the Cavern the night after.

Melissa McClelland opens for Sarah MacLachlan on March 8th at the MTS Centre.
