Some more exciting shows to pass along, starting with...
The Weeknd materializing at the Burt on Monday, September 24th. Tickets go on sale this Friday @ 10.
Local hip hop fave The Lytics is releasing its next record at the Pyramid on Friday, October 19th.
Update: other than here, I can't find any secondary evidence that this show exists. Consider it pending. White-hot Grimes is at the Pyramid on Sunday, October 21st.
Adam Cohen is at the West End Cultural Centre on Tuesday, October 23rd.
Madchild is at the Park Theatre w/ Tech N9ne on Sunday, September 16th.
And speaking of the Park Theatre, the venue is celebrating its 7th anniversary with a four-night musical soiree spanning from Wednesday, September 5th to Saturday the 8th. The lineup:
- Wednesday: Kreif
- Thursday: Romi Mayes w/ Jay Nowicki
- Friday: The Weber Brothers
- Saturday: Moses Mayes

Where did you hear about the Grimes show? I don't see it on the Pyramid's website or on Grimes' tour schedule.
The show was listed under Music Trader's "Concert Tickets" list, and Music Trader is normally an excellent source. http://musictrader.wordpress.com/show-tickets/

I have never used the website myself (I think its a new-ish promoter), but they are also selling the December Japandroids show here in Winnipeg.
I'm confident that the show is legitimate, and the Pyramid is fairly notorious for being slow to update their website.
Time will tell I suppose.
