Yet again another sub-par lineup. They seem to be cutting the artistic budget back every year, recognizing that most will go regardless of who is playing, so why try hard to build a quality lineup that gives good value for money?

First off - I love your blog. This is required reading for me to assess what is happening in Wpg for local live music. You carry the torch that Uptown Mag abandoned when the Freep wrecked it.

On the WFF Lineup, I'm a die-hard FF attendee who has been going consistently for 20+ years. I'm getting to the point where WFF is projecting itself as a rather successful, corporate monolith - with all the product placements to go with it - yet as those aspects grow more prominent - I find the music is becoming less of a focus for the line up.

This lineup is intriguing at best, and I'm seriously considering giving WFF a pass this year, to go explore other music festivals either in Canada or in US. WFF is just not giving me the value and bang for buck that I used to enjoy.

It's been quite a few festivals since the days where a lineup was chocked full of artists I needed to buy recordings from - for last few years, it was growing increasingly rare that I would witness a WFF show that motivated me to race to the record store tent and buy someone's CD. I suspect I'm not alone..

The WFF needs to take it up a few notches and stop banking on the return patronage of those loyalists who go each and every year - no matter how "meh" the lineup is for any given year.

I'm once again finding this a "meh" lineup and maybe I need to do other festivals this summer to see if I can appreciate the WFF again.

Keep doing this wonderful blog work! Thanks!

Regina has a nice little folk festival... Better organized, much more intimate performances, and significantly cheaper without sacrificing a quality lineup

there are *some* decent acts here...but just not enough.

Ouch. I don't remember the last time the lineup was this weak.
